We take a pragmatic approach to design and aim to develop innovative, economic and sustainable solutions that successfully meet the needs of our clients, whilst adding value and a better quality of life for all.

True structural engineering is about understanding how structures work and how they can be used in the context of the design as a whole. Codes of practice and design guidance form the background of what we do. However, they do not define our way of thinking or how we do things.

By working closely with our clients who understand the way we do things, we have played our part in delivering some truly excellent projects. This may be either through designing a complex structure that others felt could not be done, designing something efficiently to reduce cost or finding a different way of building something so that it is quicker or safer. Sometimes truly excellent design can be demonstrated by delivering a simple solution that is fit for purpose to the client’s brief.

Whilst customer focus, innovation and energy drive our delivery it is underpinned with honesty and integrity that is engrained within our staff. Feedback from our clients is that they like working with us. We share our ideas, understand our part in the process and are receptive to new challenges. Engineering can be complicated but we don’t over embellish what we do. We are employed to solve

problems. In Structural Engineering context, we have a duty of delivering the best solution based on a number of criteria. In addition to safely carrying the loads, we need to consider buildability , cost, programme, ease of services installations, structural depth, site constraints, appearance, to name just a few. No one structural solution will deliver all, but it is necessary to select the form which best meets the important issues on the project.

Through our learning culture, through employing the best people and supporting them with training and advanced design software, we are very good at finding the best solution. We convey our thoughts, opinions and advice in a clear and concise way. Our projects include from designing large complex building structures in Steel or Concrete to small complex steelwork structures on residential properties such as Cantilevering Balconies, Balustrading etc.
